Salary : $23.84 per hour

Reporting to the Automotive Mechanical Foreperson, this position is responsible for general labourer duties in a shop environment to provide a safe workplace for employees. This position is also responsible for picking up and delivering parts as directed by the supervisor.

We are looking for a self-starter who enjoys working as part of a team, has strong communication skills, and deals well in a shop environment with constantly changing priorities and work assignments.  You must be good at taking direction from more than once source, enjoy performing minor maintenance of workshop tools and equipment, and have the ability to operate a loader/forklift.

• Valid Class 5 Yukon Driver’s license or equivalent (Yukon Class 3 with air endorsement or equivalent would
   be an asset)
• experience in performing shop labourer and cleaning duties in a workshop environment
• experience performing minor maintenance of workshop tools and equipment
• experience operating a loader/forklift. 

Condition(s) of Employment: Valid Yukon Class 5 drivers licence; Transportation Dangerous Goods Certificate (must be obtained within 6 months of hire).

Job Requirement(s): Capable of performing physical labour; travel; work in adverse weather conditions; and mandatory use of personal protective equipment.

A one year eligibility list will be established from this competition to fill future vacancies for identical positions in the same department and location.
