Continuing Care is seeking an interested individuals who enjoy working with people of all ages, particularly seniors and elders who are in need of personal medical care.  As the ideal candidate you will be a motivated, energetic and self confident individual who is positive and enjoys interacting with people.  You will have good oral communication and listening skills and be able to work effectively alone and in a team environment.  Service delivery could include: care management, direct nursing care, monthly foot care at Seniors’ Foot Clinic and other nursing duties.

  • Registered Nursing degree or diploma
  • Experience working in a community based setting with people requiring acute, long term, rehabilitation or palliative care is preferred
  • Experience working with various cultural backgrounds

Condition(s) of Employment: A pre-employment medical, TB testing, RCMP security clearance, CPR Level C, a valid Yukon Class 5 driver’s license and current registration with the Yukon Registered Nurses Association are required prior to hire.

Job Requirement(s): Willingness to work weekends, shift work, travel within Whitehorse area, exposure to latex products, second hand smoke, pets and other potential irritants while working in clients’ homes, willingness to obtain certification in Transportation of Dangerous Goods (within 6 months of hire).
